Shockwave Signs began with a simple goal back in 1984: deliver high-quality signage that helps businesses stand out and grow. Founded by John, a passionate sign writer with an eye for detail and a strong work ethic, the business quickly became known across Sydney’s Upper North Shore for reliability, craftsmanship and fair honest service.
Today, that legacy lives on through his son, Jimmy and family.
After joining the business in 2013, Jimmy spent over a decade learning the craft from the ground up. From hands on production to working with customers and building relationships, he absorbed it all. In 2025, he officially purchased the business keeping it family owned, but injecting new energy, streamlined processes and a fresh take on signage that blends old-school pride with new-age execution.

Jimmy is more than a business owner with over 12 years working with customers, perfecting the craft and developing a deep understanding of what clients actually need from signage. He's hands on, easy to talk to and values honest communication above all else. His goal? To make sure every customer, big or small, walks away with signage they're proud to display.
